5 Crystal Energies to Use to Boost Your Relationships
4 min read
Ah, February, the month of love. Flowers, candy, perfume (nontoxic only, please)—it can get to be a little over the top. And does eating an entire box of chocolates really help your relationship? If you’d like to channel that energy into boosting your relationships instead, you’re in the right place. And I have just the booster for you: crystals.
Crystals are all the rage in the wellness world, and for good reason. These beautiful, earth-made formations all carry a unique vibration (just like we humans do). You can wear these stones as jewelry, decorate your home or office with them, and even apply them topically with crystal-infused skincare—the possibilities are truly endless. Whether or not you believe in the healing power of these gems and minerals, you can’t deny the power of intention.
You might have heard that you are drawn to the stones that you need at a particular moment in time, and I’m fully on board with that notion. But if you’re looking for a little guidance for where to start, I’ve created a starter kit of sorts for 5 crystal energies you can use to boost your relationship. You can take this as a shopping list, or you can head to your local metaphysical store to see what catches your eye. Once you learn the meaning of any particular stone, you’ll likely find that it’s bringing you a welcome energy, but let’s start with a few that can help bring the right vibes to your love life this month.
Rose Quartz
Love is all you need.
Rose quartz is the ultimate stone of love—universal love, in fact. Love of self, love of other, love of all. This stone’s peaceful pink energy makes it a favorite to gift to just about anyone. The love associated with rose quartz is not necessarily romantic love, but it definitely can be. Use it to kick-start a relationship or let a special someone know how you’re feeling.
It’s also great for strengthening love of self and compassion. One of my favorite ways to integrate this stone (besides carrying a piece around with me literally at all times) is with either a gua sha tool or face roller; self-love reflects really beautifully with a glowing complexion.
Carnelian
Spice things up.
Call on carnelian if you feel like “you’ve lost that lovin’ feelin’.” Think of it like blood—this stone provides life-force, amplifies your vitality, and can help strengthen the physical body. And yes, it can even be helpful with matters of sexuality and fertility.
Place carnelian in the bedroom for added confidence and enhanced sensuality, or wear it as jewelry to invoke your divine feminine energy around the clock. Pair it with rose quartz for a one-two punch of romantic love.
Smoky Quartz
Ground yourself.
Do you find yourself getting carried away in love easily? Is rampant daydreaming of your crush taking over your productivity for the day? It’s fun to let your mind wander, but if this strikes a little too close to home, smoky quartz is a wonderful grounding tool that will help bring you back down to earth. Don’t think of it as a bad thing—we can all use a little grounding and protection in our daily lives.
Smoky quartz can even be helpful with manifesting your desires. If that crush is meant to be yours, put it to the test with a little intention setting using this brownish-grey stone.
Amazonite
Keep the peace.
Communication issues? Get thee some amazonite. This blueish green stone helps promote harmony and peace, and can be especially helpful when speaking one’s truth. Bring amazonite into the mix to help illuminate your true feelings on any matter of love. If you have something on your mind that you’ve had trouble expressing, amazonite will give you that boost you need.
Use it in meditation to get in touch with your higher truth, and as an ally through any tough conversations with your partner.
Rhodonite
Spread that love around.
Now that you’ve got your personal relationships on lock, rhodonite is a powerful stone for spreading love to community. It amplifies generosity and the joy of being in service to others, and couldn’t we all use a little more of that kind of love these days? This brownish pink stone can also help put you in touch with your hidden talents. If you have a passion that you’ve brushed under the rug of your subconscious, rhodonite might be just the tool to bring it to the light.
